| I dont know if you will have to have steam, just like TeamFortress2, where you MUST have installed steam and logged in to steam in order to play it. Maybe Dota2 will be the same, maybe not. i rather look at dota2 like a game where you can play without even having steam in your pc because of this: | Quote: | i hate steam ads and steam start up and steam ads, again.... :c and steam telling you that you got a steam achievement, like if one even cares. Also the annoying steam notifications while playing any game -.- and more steam ads about super low priced videogames that make me even sadder cuz i aint got no credit card to buy em. |
so do you guys really care about this, or it doesnt matter, or what? what do you guys think? |

| Like i said before, all of Valve's online multiplayer games use steam, so i'm guessing Dota 2 will work the same way (through Steam). |

| ^ You need Steam to play the official Counter Strike Source online.
If your CSS doesn't, it's a pirate copy. Im 100% sure. |

| Im pretty sure that's not true, because 1.6 has VAC (anti cheating engine) and VAC works through Steam.

| Step 1: Don't read OP. Step 2: Hope for the ability to play offline, i.e. not with Steam. |
