Early Game:

Reasoning for items/skills:
Items: Is to get that extra strength and the quelling blade to farm.
Use the tango's early on, because once you reach level 6 you have very fast regen
Remember this is not the only items to get, just the basic, if they have alot of early game harassment, instead of queling get more tangos or a stout shield
Skills: It might seem weird that I am not taking dark pact, but I recommend you only get it if you have heroes on the enemy team that debuff you like troll's blind or bounty hunters track, if they do get it only 1 level replace it level 3. But only 1 level is needed. DO NOT LEVEL IT MORE THAN 1
How to act early game:
- Aim for a solo lane (preferably mid)
- Last hit and farm
- Be aware of your low hp, don't run into nukers and die
- Don't worry about regen, as soon as you reach level 6 just hide in the fog, to regen quickly
- Only go in for a kill once you reach level 6 or you are confident that you will be able to latch onto somebody and get a good kill
Goal before early game ends:
- You have used your ulti to secure a kill in YOUR lane
- You have saved up enough gold for a mask of death

Middle Game:

How to play mid-game:
- This is where Slark shines, now you start hunting heroes, using your utli and leap to secure those kills.
- Remember Slark is still a very "squishy" hero, but you can use your ulti to get away if need be.
 =  <<<< If they buy dust, then immediately level Dark Pact, just to nullify the effect of dust if they use it.
- VERY IMPORTANT:
 <<< Get MoM asap, then when you successfully leap a target you activate it and cause major damage.
Goal before mid game ends:
 
After MoM, bashers is the most essential item on Slark, so get it asap... The amount of kills you can rack up if you have a MoM and a basher is terrifying

And then end off your and lastly
Remember in some occasions you need dark pact earlier for debuff heroes or dust... BUT only 1 level (reason being it deals damage to Slark and once enough life to survive the spell, it does insignificant damage to heroes)
How to act late game:
- Slark also shines late game, although if they have gems, try to get backup from your team before rushing in... Items also become more situational here, you might need a Bkb for disables, or Heart for major dps, or even Mkb if they have major tanks...
- Remember in team fights to take out major disable first then tanks, you are essentially an anti tank so normally try to go for the highest hp hero, by doing this you remove a major obstacle for your team (nothing is more annoying than a 4000Hp tank)

Additional Tips:

- Remember middle game is the best time for Slark and he must hunt heroes perma
- Get MoM asap not only is it easier for Slark to get kills, but he can use the speed to Gtfo out of a potential gank
- Help your team mates if they have a strong tank in their lane and needs to be cut down
- Always watch your hp, you have very little of it, if you start dieing, hide and quickly regen all of it
- Watch your ulti buff, if you are alone and your buff suddenly goes away, then the enemy can see you, informing you of wards and invis heroes
