Just managed to get a hand on a beta key, but when I finished downloading the game and launched it, the monitor turns black and I get an error message saying "Input not supported". In other words, I can't see sh*t.
Having played League of Legends before, I remember this problem when I first installed that game too. The way I solved it back then was going into the game folder and change the .cfg file to set the standard resolution to that of my own monitor.
I did manage to find the .cfg file in the dota2 folder, but I can't seem to find any lines about resolution in any of the .cfg files in there. There's probably an option in-game to change the resolution, however, since my screen is totally black I cannot navigate whatsoever after launching the game.
Does anyone know if there's a possibility of just typing in a line like UserSetResolution=1 and then Resolution=1440x900? Or is there some other way around this problem?
Would make my day if someone could help me with this problem since I've really been looking forward to playing this game!
EDIT: It seems I got 2 invites along with the beta key, so if someone comes up with a solution and hasn't got access to the beta yet I can help you out

EDIT2: The issue has been solved. Thanks a lot to Apwny and his friend!
